Okino PolyTrans konvertiert alle wichtigen Formate im Bereich 3D Design, CAD und Animation. PolyTrans richtet sich an Kunden, die lediglich eine schnelle Konvertierung vornehmen wollen, ohne Textur oder Materialeigenschaften vor dem Export zu betrachten oder zu überarbeiten. Sollten Sie öfter mit anderen 3D-Programmen zusammenarbeiten, oder auf externe Objektsammlungen zurückgreifen, werden Ihnen Okino Konverter sehr viel Zeit, Nerven und Geld sparen.

Okino PolyTrans ist ein Objekt- und Szenenkonverter für 3D-Programme wie zum Beispiel Softimage, LightWave und 3DStudio MAX. PolyTrans bietet 3D Dateiformat Konvertierung für die Windows Plattform und SGI.

Ein integrierter Renderer (OpenGL Shading und einaches Scanline) erlaubt die Voransicht der importierten Modelle und Animationen in PolyTrans. Basis-Werkzeuge ermöglichen die Bearbeitung von Polygonen, Lichtern und Kameras.

DCC steht für "Digital Content Creation" und umfaßt die Produktion professioneller Visualisierung und Animation für den digitalen Medienbereich und die Entertainment-Industrie. Wichtige Programme in der Studio Klasse sind 3D Studio Max, Maya und Softimage. Okinos DCC Pack erweitert die Möglichkeiten zum Austausch von 3D Szenen und Animationen mit folgenden Formaten.

Schnittstellentechnologie der Parametric Technology Corp. (PTC) wurde für den Einsatz in Polytrans und NuGraf lizensiert. Der Import von CAD Volumenmodellen wird damit ermöglicht. Folgende Import Filter stehen zur Verfügung: ACIS, IGES (solids), Parasolids, ProE native Parts & Assemblies, Pro/DESKTOP, sowie STEP & VDA-FS. Okinos oberflächenbasierter IGES Import Filter liegt als Ergänzung zu dem volumenorientierten PTC IGES Import Filter bei.

JT Export overview

The Okino "JT" export converter module allows various types of 3D geometry, hierarchy and materials (assembly data) to be exported to native .jt disk based MCAD files (otherwise called "DirectModel" files). The JT exporter is built upon the official "JT Open" toolkit which has been licensed from UGS Corp. The use of the official "JT Open" toolkit ensures consistency of JT files across the enterprise and throughout the PLM market.

The JT Importer is a Plug-In for Okino PolyTrans/ NuGraf.

Okino's PolyTrans and NuGraf are cross-industry standards for moving "JT" 3D assembly and part files asset data into all major 3D animation, VisSim and other downstream 3D application packages. Okino has focused entirely on CAD to non-CAD (DCC and VisSim) conversions, optimizations and rendering since 1988. Our solutions are used around the world by all well known companies. Reliability, robustness and personal one-on-one developer-to-customer support have always been the fundamental basis of our business.

The CATIA v5 CAD File Converter is a Plug-In for Okino PolyTrans or NuGraf.

This geometry import converter imports and processes BREP solids-based CAD geometry files stored in the CATIA v5 native part and assembly file formats, as well as mesh visualization data from CGR files. The importer is based on the actual CATIA v5 runtime DLLs and components from Dassault Système (the developers and owners of the CATIA v5 modeling software) and hence provides the absolute best conversion of native CATIA v5 part and assembly files - no reverse engineered libraries are used, as is often the case with other CATIA v5 importers.

The CATIA v4 CAD File Converter is a Plug-In for Okino PolyTrans or NuGraf.

The CATIA stand-alone program (made by Dassault Systèmes and distributed by IBM) is an integrated suite of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications for digital product definition and simulation. It allows manufacturers to simulate all the industrial design processes, from the pre-project phase, through detailed design, analysis, simulation, assembly and maintenance.

First and foremost, from day one of development, Okino's conversion software has been written to handle the largest of large source files with the least memory usage and without slowing to a crawl - that is by far our 'calling card' in the conversion industry. The software is often used by our customers as a "stepping stone" to import and optimize data prior to final import into programs such as 3ds max, COLLADA, CINEMA 4D, FBX, LightWave, Maya, NGRAIN, Softimage, Acrobat-3D (3D PDF) and many others.



Okino has been actively involved with developing our own CAD converters starting in 1988 and such converters form the basis of our common daily customer sale. We don't "write" converters but rather "nurture" them over years and years to handle all varieties of data.

Optional Spatial SAT, CATIA v4 and CATIA v5 Add-On CAD Importers

Three optional, top-notch and best-of-class CAD importer modules are available for Okino software which implement ACIS SAT/SAB, CATIA v4 and CATIA v5 import using the defacto industry standard software components from Spatial Corp and its parent company Dassault Systèmes (the makers of CATIA). These modules provide precise, crack-free imports from BREP solids models.

Files created by these exporters are "Render Ready" meaning that everything is set up to produce a good rendering on the first pass with no tweaking necessary (in particular, the perspective camera, its camera parameters and the lights are accurately translated to the target rendering platform). All of the following export converters are included in every copy of PolyTrans and NuGraf (base-level package).

Optional JT CAD Add-On Exporter

The use of the official "JT Open" toolkit ensures consistency of JT files across the enterprise and throughout the PLM market.



While the main and primary focus of development at Okino is the 3D file import/export converters, a wide selection of 2D bitmap, video and audio converters or viewers have also been written in tandem. Thus, performing a 3D file format conversion also allows for automatic 2D bitmap conversion to occur at the same time. For example, IFF was added for native Lightwave support, PIX and Alias IFF for Maya support, IMG for Electric Image support, FLIC for 3D Studio support, SGI RGB for OpenFlight support, PIC for SoftImage support and so on.

The supported 2D importers can be used for bitmap batch conversion, loading of images (or specific video frames) to be used as texture maps within Okino's scanline and ray trace renderers, loading of images (or specific video frames) to be used as textures in the real-time OpenGL user interface, and the viewing of images/video/audio/MIDI files within the Okino Multi-Media Editor and Viewer.









The supported 2D exporters can be used for bitmap batch conversion, saving out rendered images from Okino's scanline and ray trace renderers, and saving out of edited images from within the Okino Multi-Media Editor and Viewer.
