3D Import

Vue provides maximum exchange compatibility with other applications, using an extensive set of import/export filters for both 3D and 2D content.

Vue also lets you export any native element such as trees, terrains, skies, and even complete scenes, to other 3D applications, using dedicated polygon reduction and UV unwrapping tools.

(This feature requires the Exporter module for Vue 10).

I

ntelligent Import Filters

Import 3D content from almost any program. Vue's advanced import filters will retain accurate texturing and mapping information so that your models can be readily used.

You can choose to automatically simplify the geometry of imported meshes to quickly setup scenes involving complex models, then instantly switch back to full mesh resolution for final rendering.

2D content can be imported in a variety of formats, including High Dynamic Range (HDR) images.

 

Auto-Sense Dynamic Import Update

The Exporter module lets you export the content of your Vue scenes to other applications, in full 3D quality. Generate fully-textured meshes, high-definition sky-maps or detailed terrain maps for import in other 3D applications.

 

The Vue 10 Exporter module is an optional module for Vue 10 Pioneer, Vue 10 Frontier, Vue 10 Esprit and Vue 10 Studio. It is part of Vue 10 Complete.

Starting from version 9, Vue for the Macintosh platform was rewritten from the ground up to reap maximum benefits of Apple's latest Mac OS X operating systems.

Vue will run natively on the Mac in 64 bit. On top of the added benefit of accessing more memory, performance is also dramatically improved with anoverall boost of up to 3 times faster over previous Carbon 32 versions!

(1) Requires a Vue 10 build superior to 9005724. Resizing editors, or really heavy scenes may generate some instability.

(2) Support for Shaded Billboards on Windows requires a Vue 10 build superior to 9005724.

(3) Warning!

 Do not install Nvidia Drivers 270.61. These drivers weren't certified with Vue and may present severe OpenGL issues!



Other boards (such as the nVidia GeForce 210/220/240, 300 and 300M series, 6000 and 7000 series...) may not perform using the Shader engine, but will perform using the older fixed-pipeline one.

Older boards such as Voodoo, Rage Pro, Radeon 8000 up until Geforce FX chips included, all Intel video boards, and all unrecognized boards will run in software OpenGL mode only.

Due to recent changes in the Mac OS 10.6 OpenGL implementation, which resulted in a massive slowdown of OpenGL intensive applications, Shaded Billboards are not supported at all on Mac.

In any case, Vue can perform in software OpenGL regardless of the video board.

Boards that are not on this list may work with Vue, but haven't been extensively tested. If you run into any OpenGL issues, try disabling background draw and antialiasing in the Options panel. Worst case scenario: you can always run Vue in software OpenGL mode.


Warning

: Laptops using Nvidia's Optimus or ATI's BinaryGFX technologies may present severe OpenGl problems. We recommend that users deactivate this option when running Vue!


Not recommended Chips

Windows:

  • All ATI Radeon prior to 4000 series.
  • ATI 9000 series, X series, and HD series might work, but with fewer options, and you may experience severe slowdowns.
  • ATI FireGL 5000 series.

Macintosh:

  • Intel-based GPUs and nVidia 7300 board will

     not work with Vue

     (with hw acceleration).

 

Poser SDKs

There are four Poser™ SDKs that you can choose from:

  • Poser SDK from February 2010

     (default): This one worked fine in earlier builds of Vue 8. However, this SDK does not support Poser Pro, may introduce rendering artefacts when using the Poser Shader Tree, and Dynamic Clothes may have some issues. Some content may not load properly with this SDK.
  • Poser SDK from March 2010

    : This one fixes the greenish skin tones of Poser figure imports (also known as the Hulk Syndrome). Some content may not load properly with this SDK.
  • Poser SDK from May 2010

    : This one adds support of Poser Pro and fixes many of the clothing problems. Some content may not load properly with this SDK.
  • Poser SDK from August 2011

    : This SDK adds support of Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012. This SDK used on Mac will only work in 64 bit. It will work in both 32 and 64 bit on Windows.

You might need to experiment with these to find out which one works best for you.

Fragen zu Vue 10 Esprit

    • Sehr geehrter Damen und Herren,

      ich habe das Update Vue8 (Esprit) für meine Vue6 (Esprit) bei Ihnen gekauft. Nun läßt sich nach der Installation, an der ich die Seriennummer erfolgreich von Vue 8 eingegeben habe, die Vue 6Seriennummer nicht eingegeben. Es erscheien auch nur 3 beschreibbare Felder anstatt 4. Komisch ist auch, dass vorher bei meiner Version von Esprit VUE6PSB steht, dort aber VUE6ESP....wie ist das zu erklären? Was kann ich machne. Danke für Info. Ohne diese Einagbe kann ich Vue 8 gar nicht öffnen.

      leider gibt es kein Upgrade dazu. Daher bieten wir diese kleinen Pakete auch nicht an, weil man aus meiner Meinung nach damit nicht wirklich was anfangen kann. Dann ist Bryce zum gleichen Preis eine wesentlich bessere Alternative.

      bitte verzeihen Sie, dass die Preise nicht sofort ersichtlich sind. Wenn Sie im WArenkorb ihre Version wählen aktualisiert sich der Preis. Die 95 € ist die günstigste Zusammenstellung von Vue 8 Esprit. Dies wäre von der Vue 7 Esprit-Version der Fall. Die Vollversion kostet 195,- €. Ein Update von Vue 6 Esprit kostet 145,- €

    • Hallo und guten Tag!
      Ich habe ein großes Problem mit meinen Vue 8 Modulen und komme nicht weiter,ich habe Vue 8 Esprit und mir die Module Botanica und Zypher bei Cornucopia gekauft.
      Nachdem ich mich einlogge mit meinem Cornucupia Account und auf die Seite Purchase geleitet werde sehe ich die Module.Wenn ich sie nun runterlade sehe ich das die Datei 375mb gross ist jeder Browser beendet aber den Download bei 100mb und ich kann die Datei nicht vollständig runterladen,und so kann ich sie nicht öffnen bekomme nur die Fehlermeldung das sie nicht entpackt werden kann.

    • Guten Tag wünsche ich erst einmal,und komme zu meiner Frage!
      Ich habe mir Vue Pioneer runtergeladen, um mal auszutesten was alles so machbar ist,wenn ich das Pflanzen aufrufe sind in dieser Version viele Pflanzen und Bäume nicht verfügbar man muss die erst kaufen.
      Sind in der Vue 8 Esprit Version alle Pflanzen Gegenstände Atmosphären usw,verfügbar oder muss man diese einzeln kaufen?

    • Hallo Michael,
      wir selbst bieten ja kleinere Versionen als Esprit nicht mehr an, weil diese zu sehr beschränkt und untauglich sind. Im Vue Esprit gibt es viele Materialien, Pflanzen, Atmosphären usw. auch kostenlos. Jedoch ist die Software so gebaut, dass auch immer kostenpflichtige Vorschläge in der Bibliothek zu finden sind.

    • Ich habe Vue8 Frontier und Probleme beim Importieren von Poser 7 & 8. Die Plugins "static poser importer" & "vue skin" sollen dabei sein. Vue Skin läuft, aber der static poser importer nicht und ist auch nicht auffindbar. Nach dem Speichern und erneutem Laden wird angezeigt, das nur Objekte wo die Lizenzen vorliegen geladen werden können. Ich weiss nicht mehr weiter. Hilft ein Update oder Upgrade auf eine andere Version?

    • Immer mehr Informationen von anderen Kunden haben uns erreicht, dass Vue 8 mittlerweile sehr gut und stabil unter Windows 7 läuft. Allerdings hat der Hersteller von Vue 8 noch kein OK gegeben, d.h. Windows 7 wird offiziell noch nicht unterstützt. Natürlich wird aber fleissig an Updates gearbeitet und bald schon sollte auch von Herstellerseite das OK und die volle Stabilität unter Windows 7 gegeben sein. (om)
